I'm a bit of a woosy taking the 6-yr old daughter along on the bike but it all started when I left the lights of the bakkie on and the battery ran flat. Only realising it when I had to fetch the kid from school, the bike was the only other option. She enjoyed the 4km trip so much I have since taken her on a Sunday morning breakfast run of sorts to the Wimpy on the N1 and occasionally fetch her from school if the weather is good and when parking is a problem on sport days.
As we have now reached the point of no return I need proper gear for her, especially a set of gloves. Have been to all the usual places, Trac-Mac, Craigs and Startline but even the smallest glove does not fit properly. A spare helmet I have fits OK, but she will probably need a better helmet too. Any pointers or parents of kids who have outgrown their gear and are willing to sell?
