Metzeler Karoo MCE on a 990/950?

Hi Guys
Need to make a decision on tyres for Rallye Raid and I want to know if any of you have experience with this tyre on the REAR of your bikes?
I'm going to stick a T-63 on the front but the rear is giving me headaches ???
Not particularily worried about mileage but I want grip to get out of the rivers in Transkei.  :ricky:
