My first bike, my first rebuild

Turned 40 and suffered a mild mid life crises. All of a sudden i needed a motorbike. never had one never wanted one. Got a good mate who has a Vespa BMW800 and a Harley who constantly badgered me to get a bike. The harley route didnt appeal to me so i started looking for a bike to build up and customise. i stumbled across a 40 year old BMW R75/5 on gumtree and picked it for a song. I built it over the last 4 months complete nut and bolt rebuild. Engine, gearbox, final drive, electrics, wheels etc. Really enjoyed the experience and the satisfaction of riding something you created.

Been running now for the last couple of weeks. Ironing out some small items at the moment but also having a blast on it.
