My first ride - Advice needed

Hi all

I recently (last friday) got my KTM 990 Adventure, we are planning a trip next year in April to Namibia, so i need advice. I have no experience apart from my endurance riding up in gauteng at places like  De Wildt on my KTM 250 XCW.

So what do I need on my bike ?
What parts doe I need ? (keep a reasonable budget in mind)
What do I need to know with regards to repairs etc. ?
When planning a trip of this nature what do i need to keep in mind ?
Any advice on Namibia itself ? ( I will post our intended route just not)
