Maybe i am missing something here, but why would Yamaha choose to fit neck bearing races without any means to remove them by means of a drift or bearing puller.....unless i am missing someting? They sit flush behind a lip - see photos.
What could have been a relatively straightforward job, like with many other bikes i have done in the past, now becomes a mission of disconnecting electronics, covering panels and welding.
Even the workshop manual for the 660Z only talks about servicing the bearings, not their removal....can now see why.
