New tyre/s for the Vara ...advice please

I need to replace my back tyre ('street' type) ,front one is still ok . Have been recommended the Heidenau K60 but would like to hear if anyone has an alternative . I do mainly tar commuting at the moment but want to increase gravel travel from now .
Q2  Will I need to replace the front to the same as the back ? (Insurance /handling etc )
Q3  Best place to buy in Cape Town ?
