Hi there everyone.
Joined last night and would really like to ask all the WD experts on the best bike to get for my needs. I have ridden my brothers 1200 HD nightster, and that's it. Don't own a bike or have any previous experience. So what I'm looking for is a nice Dual Purpose bike that I will enjoy. I'm 24 years old from Potchefstroom and plan to do some long trips and will also use the bike around town rather than my car I guess.
I can afford a F800GS with around 30 000 km's, F650GS under 5000 km's or a new XL700V Transalp. What do you guys suggest?
I will need to do some mods with the 650GS before I'll be able to go off-road, less on the transalp and 800GS.
What concerns me is the ABS that I can not turn off on the TA, the mileage on the 800GS and the 650's off-road capability.
Please can you guys point me in a direction?
