Just joined the Forum and cross posting from the Think Bike Forum.
I'm currently heading up the Education portfolio on the Committee and am giving a course for Noob commuters on Saturday 5 Feb. It's free of charge and the aim is to help riders become more skilled in the traffic. We have seen many riders buy a bike with the aim to commute but then they never get that far because the traffic is way too scary for a noob rider/ commuter.
There are notes and even a test (sorry  ) and the format is basically to meet and drink some coffee, discuss the theory part of the training and then head out into the traffic.
For those interested, please drop me a PM with your mail addy and I'll send the docs through. Or if there's a lot of interest, will post them here for download.
