Came off my 1200gs this weekend for the first time, while doing a little solo offroad ride in irene, close to the smuts farm outside pretoria.
Was crossing a 2m mud "puddle" and the front wheel slipped out and down we went to the right side. All at slow speed, 20km/h or so in first gear as I was nervous about the mud, have metzler tourance tyres on. Hehehe....boy oh boy is the 1200gs a heavy pig to pick up, especially in slippery mud
Very minor damage to the bike, the right front indicator's orange plastic bit broke off, and the rear one got a hair line crack through it. Most of the "impact" was on the bash plate covering the cylinder head, dented and scratched quite badly....actually quite surprised it scratched so deep so easily.
