Coming back from the bash I trashed a EO9 just outside Three Sisters, you don't realise the wheel is flat until you cook it, and then it's mo3r toe.
Heimer was our riding partner and rode the 70 km to Beaufort West taking the tyre in to see if there was any salvage and found this chap on the Sunday afternoon ..... his name is Ami (Amsterdam) 0823645459 he has a small repair shop just right of the BP garage as you come in to Beaufort from the south.
With what he had, and my new tube, and the farked EO 9, they got us back to Beaufort, after my wife and I spent 4 hours quality time next to the N1 :love6: under our umbrella, listening to the roar of trucks going past every 30 seconds :

Pierre de Wit, the owner of the BP used to ride a KTM and with the help from Tribes and Nimo... DANKIE .....he had a used 18 inch tyre and tube :ricky:
The heat melted the rubber protector that keeps the tube away from the spoke nipples on the inside, and a Split rim's "pisvel" was cut to size to prevent punctures, the first one lasted to Laingburg and broke resulting in another puncture, luckily I found another "pisvel" at the tyre shop and I had patched the first tube. That got us back home.
