Plans still in formation, but I am hoping to crate up a bike for a two-week ride starting July 3 and then donate to an NGO doing mission/relief work. Where would the best place be to meet up with a couple other folks to plan a ride?
What would be more useful and practical for long term use in Nam--a KLR650 or an older TransAlp?
I sense the KLR being lighter and likely used for jaunts under two hours' drive, would be preferred.
I am normally a dirt rider based in Florida, so the less slab, the better.
