I've been a member since 2010, but never introduced myself. My humble appologies. I used to ride a Honda CX 500, 25 or so years ago. Bought a BMW R1200 GS in 2010. Traded that bike in on a BMW R1200 GSA in 2011 after it had done 91 000km. Presently I'm on 86 000km on my GSA. I commute with the bike, travel to Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique and all over SA using the bike Also use my cage, BMW 320d with 392 000km. Maintain and service my own bike.
I'm in the Television Industry, in design and equipment supply for TV Studios. At least four times a year I get to do some long distance for pleasure riding. However, using the bike as I do, its all enjoyment and pleasure. I am married, with three children and two grandchildren of my own, and Liz has two children.
