I am amazed by how many people ask for advice on what bike to buy. Now asking advice is good, but then only if you need advice about the type / size of bike. When it comes to whether you should buy , say, an HP2 or a 990 KTM or a 1200 Gs etc, YOU will be riding it and it has to get YOUR heart pounding. If a bike doesn't get your heart racing by just looking at it: (a) you're not really a biker or (b) the bike is a dog, no matter what anybody else thinks.
You don't ask advice on what girl to date / marry, do you? Buying a bike is as emotional, and is a commitment you should only enter into on the basis of true desire! So don't ask other suckers, next thing you will be asking how many times a week you should bonk your wife!
