So apparently riding like a chop is not the best thing for the stabilizing rod above the shaft on the 1200 GSA,
Some time back on a trip with my wife (on her own bike) I managed to bend the rod so bad that it acted like a brake on the rear wheel. It is pretty scary when you doing ~ 60-70 km/h and your rear wheel suddenly locks and you were nowhere near the brakes. There was some ass clenching and swearing and thank goodness no rolling on the ground, I managed to keep the black stuff down.
We were now in a bad spot my bike would not move and we didn't not have that much water with us, which is quite a problem when it is 38 Degrees out and we were nowhere near any shade or people.
There was only one thing to do, I had to get it off and straight and I had to do it quick!!!!!
