jupiter and JMOL asked me to do the rr and therefore I thought it will be appropriate to do it in English.
So, here goes.

The P E DOGS - Monthly Ride - Fly with the Eagles - 10 February 2013, trip were planned, see link. https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=88858.0
This would be the 1st one for 2013 and it was a route that I proposed a while back, but that trip was cancelled due to heavy rains.  The Border Bulldogs (Slumdogs) also planned to join with a sleepover at Milnerton Manor, the Saturday.  This was organized by JMOL.

It would also be a ride in memory of Purple Pixie who was one of PE’s regular and very enthusiastic Sunday riders.

The route:
SATURDAY.
Border Collies leave East London to King, I join them to Fort Buafort, meet Dutchman81 (who will be going by car) and Donky Kong.  From there it is to Mpofu game reserve onto the Post Retief road with a detour to the Winterberge, down the Baviaans road to Daggaboer farmstal for a brekkie.  From there a back road through one or other tunnel and then to Somerset East.  From Somerset a couple of zig zags to Milnerton Manor for the party.
SUNDAY
We meet 08:00 at Patterson, ride north for about 10 odd km's on the N10, turn right on the road towards Alicedale for another 10 km, turn right again on a farm road that will take us along the Bushmansriver and enter Shamwari from the back towards Sidbury.  From there it is the gravel road to Grahamstown via Highlandsroad.  In Grahanstown we will have a brekkie at the Wimpy, from there it will be down the Coombs road to the Fish river.  From the Fish river a couple of zig zag roads to Bathurst and another couple of zig zag roads to Boesmansriver.  From here the group will split and head home.

They arrived and as usual the greetings and a little bit of chitchat.

No photo’s after that, I really and truly do not know why.
We had a pleasant evening enjoying each other company.  The wind also kept us company, and when the wind stopped the rain came down in bucket loads.  In spite of all this, we still enjoyed it.
Anybody with photos, please add.

Day two to follow shortly.
