Grey Hound
Soooo.... Some thing broke (I fear expensive) on my 690 this evening.
Riding along pondering how wonderful the 690 is and how smooth the bike feels with 16T/44T gearing I change into second and the gear doesn't engage but provides a nasty clanking sound.
So I roll onto the pavement and get the bike into neutral.
In neutral start the bike and its 100%, clutch in and there is that clanking sound (can feel something tapping the right hand engine casing) I tried to get the bike into gear which worked 2nd & 1st with clutch in and engine running no noise easy the clutch out and the noise returns and the gear doesn't engage.
So I called a good mate whom towed me to his workshop (scariest shit I've done on a bike, managed to lock the rear wheel up once and almost go over when the tow rope hit the gear level down)
Bike will go into KTM tomorrow and will see whats what. Bike is out of warranty natural.
Here's to hoping its nothing majorly expensive ^.^
