planning a solo trip to ZAM....need to get bike up north from CPT.

hey guys, im looking to head up to Zambia in March next year to visit a mate, but I really dont want to drive from Cape Town on my KLR, i dont think ass could take a pounding like that, dont think Jemma Jammison could even take that kind of pounding!!!!

Any one know of a CHEAP alternative to getting it there? was thinking of putting it on the back of a truck and hitching a ride, but a bit concerned  of being made a truckers bee-utch!!!

the trains dont go all the way anymore so i hear.
