Well as Kykdaar has caught most of the guys out viewing his El--Cheeeeepo Bashplate. I decide after a long and hard decision to make my own. The logistics of bringing one in from the USA with courier etc was just NOT viable for me.
Made something quickly in my workshop that did not cost the earth. Material About R 170.00 Stainless bolts and rubber spacers. Wanted to rubber mount the unit as i do not like the idea of it being fixed onto the frame directly.
Also wanted to drop the plate with the minimal work--two Stainless button headed 8mm screws. Takes less than 30 seconds to drop :
The most expensive part was the Aluminium welding R 200.00 ( maybe i need to look at welding Aluminium myself.)
Here are some pics.
