I bought my KLR about 2 months ago and have done about 1500 klms on it. during this period I have never had the occasion to ride it with the throttle fully open, as I am more of the type of rider that likes to enjoy the view.
However yesterday Myself and IRISH went for a ride into the Trans Kei, On the way back climbing out of the Kei Cuttings I decided to open the bike up a bit as you have some long sweeping curves and good tarmac.
However when I opened the throttle fully the bike lost power and would jerk every few seconds almost as if it was cutting out. If I cut back on the throttle a bit, it would gain power and run fine, but as soon as I accelerated again it would start the whole process all over.
The bike is a 2009 model with 9000 Ks on the clock.
Please can somebody help me with what the possible cause can be as I am clueless.
