I Started a job in Mwanza Tanzania a while ago and will be working on rotation basis. I am planning to take my F650 Dakar up through Botswana, Zambia, Malawi and then through Tanzania. I will do the return trip on another route at a later stage agin.
I plan on doing this during the dry season, around July 2015 depending om my rotations.
Its still a long time but thought I should post and get some tips from you guys in the meantime.
I need to have a look at my bike, 2001 BMW F650 DAKAR with 88 000km on the clock. She still runs smooth but I'm a tad bit nervous about how long she will hold.
I need to get some gear for a longer trip too (the longest trips I've done before in SA and Namibia are around a week).
A GPS with tracks for Africa, I think is on that list too.?
