Quick shift question

So my 790 doesn’t have quick shift on menu, old owner confirms it was not installed. On up shift with or without clutch, it auto blips and seems to work like a normal quick shift. On down shift it does it intermittently, seems to have to meet certain parameters. I believe the only difference in not have QS on the menu, is that you can’t turn it off. Comments . On the down shift. Anyone have experience without QS?
