I've been away for a week and duing that time, some one has managed to topple my bike over where I leave it at work whilst I am away in Tanzania.  Beside that I'm pissed off about that - oil has leaked from the rear shock and the shock is to put it bluntly -
F#$%ED !

I had to ride it this morning from work to the bike shop - which almost made me sea-sick - not to mention that the rear end doesn't track too well and it was bloody dangerous to boot.

The bike shop told me that a replacement rear shock (genuine) is worth around 5,500 Rand and that the rear shock can't be repaired and they don't know if there is an after-market shock available for the KLR in RSA !

I walked away a bit berwildered and need to know if this is correct or if anyone out there has had a similar problem or if there is someone that knows of an after-market replacement or has a rear shock available for sale in the Guateng area.
