Hi Guys.
My 2011 GSA's rear sub-frame is in need of serious attention to address the rust. The bike has always been parked in a garage, but the garage is situated such that during winter it is always damp and the walls and floor is wet during winter. I have considered taking it to our local agent, but after having spoken to them, they estimated a price of +- R12,000 !
The price is a bit steep to me, but I understand that the bulk of the cost was in the stripping & assembling. The actual sandblasting and epoxy-coating or powder-coating was approximately R3,000.

As I have time on hand to do it myself, I have a couple of questions:
1. Do I need a maintenance manual for tricky phases of the project?
2. What is the difference in quality of, and results between epoxy- & powder-coating?
3. Is there a company in George/Knysna area that does epoxy coating? (I know of powder coaters, but do not know whether they do epoxy coating)
4. Is the price estimated for the coating fair, or also a bit steep?
5. Anybody have a maintenance manual for sale for a a 2011 GSA - if needed ?
Any advice will be appreciated
