Hi good morning all...

I have a question regarding my rear suspension preload and damping settings on my 1988 XT600 Yamaha Tenere?

My chief complaint is that at present my suspension seems 'softly' sprung, which is great for 1up riding, but the minute I load up with luggage or a pillion, the suspension sags quite percievably!!

My bike has a mono shock rearend... The shock has two rotating swivels, that I assume control the stiffness of the spring and ride height?
My aim is to have the bike set to carry 150-160 kg of net weight,so including me and luggage/pillion...Iknow that this will make the bike hard under normal conditions but I dont use the bike to commute, and DS riding is the main role of the boney....(60/40-gravel/tar).

I have a manual on order,but @ the moment I am flying Blind!! :D

The backend does not bottom out when going airbourne,so the shock seems to do it's thing and there is plenty Damping!

So really,I need a little advice from some of the guru's! :)

Will try and get some photo's of the assembly and post them later!

Thanks in advance
Bryan
