I have noticed over the past year or so that VStrom seats tend to split in the same place (on the seam under your right thigh) regardless of model.
My bike developed a 1cm tear in the seat this week, and if it got any worse it would have annoyed me to the point of becoming catatonic :biggrin: so this morning I took the seat in to be recovered.
R420-00 does not sound bad to me to have it re=done, I'll post a pic later this week when I get it back :thumleft:
