My XR500R project is up and running... the next step is to try get it registered/licensed so i can road worthy it. ;D
The bike is a 1981 model XR500R... i verified this by checking VIN and engine numbers.
As far as i can establish the bike was never registered (no papers). I phoned the licensing dept and they have no record of it on their system or in their archives.
So, as i understand it i should try register it as a 'rebuilt vehicle'. ???
From my research i need to do the following:
1. take the bike for police clearance
2. fill out the relevant forms and apply for papers
3. take it back to police clearance with the papers
4. get it registered/licensed
5. go for road worthy
Can anyone confirm this? :-\
Any tips or advice that will help make the process quicker and less painful??
thanks :thumleft:
