Rubberizing- Tool tube

Im making a tool tube from a old busted exhaust can. What type of material can you suggest i place inside of the can to prevent the tools from vibrating on the metal surface? Where can i get/do this?

Perhaps the same type of rubberizing that is used on the back of a bakkie?
