Pack Dog
From: Pretoria to Sani and back
Distance: +- 1700 Km
Days: 4 Days, 3 Nights
Route type: As much dirt as possible with some tar sections
Bikes: KTM 990, KTM 690R X 2, BMW 800GS
Difficulty: Novice to Intermediate
The Route
Background
As with most things of a biking nature, at least in my experience, something said out of hand (and out of the corner of ones mouth)
often finds a way of making itself a reality. When someone said "Hey we should do Sani pass" not too long ago I replied "Yeah, we should". All the while thinking "Whatever." I'll make all the arrangements and nothing will happen. Everyone will simply fade out and this
trip will remain in the bucket list. Thankfully, for once, this was not the case. Rapidly accommodation was booked, routes planned and before I knew it - we, 4 intrepid adventurers (at least in our minds - our respective wives would call us by other names) were on the road.
This is our tale...
