Strompie
Race Dog
I met this Strom in 2012. The two of us went on many adventures. Swaziland, Haenertsburg in the pouring rain, Die Hel, Kom se pad, Ronnie's SEX shop, Sani, Lesotho. The list goes on. Not once did it miss a beat. I trust the bike completely. The only hassle I ever had with it was a dead battery, and that was not the bike's fault. After adding another 33 000km to the 38 000 it had on when I got it, our road together has now reached a strange place. The Strom spends most of its days up on the paddock stand, so I think it's best if I just let it go. All it needs is your free spirit and sense of adventure.
With 71 000km on the clock, I will still trust it completely to take me anywhere I want to go. I had it serviced by the agents, and the scars in my bank account to prove it. The battery is new, so is the sprocket and chain, and the tyres are probably at 80%. The bodywork has the obligatory scratches and nicks, and I have personally dropped the bike twice. Once at a fuel stop and once at a toll gate. So I can safely say it has never been in an accident at speeds higher than 0km/h.
I got it with a Hyde bashplate, a Stealth exhaust and a full set of GIVI panniers, and I will part with it the same way. If you want to continue the adventures of my Strom, and you have R32000, then you can contact me. The bike can be viewed in Pretoria, Montana Park after 5pm daily. I have all the paperwork, and will arrange roadworthy.
In some of the photos, I have the GIVI Trekker cases. If you want those as well, we can discuss.
