Solo trips off road ?

I am seeing a lot of solo rides where people go deep off road these days.

I was told not to go riding off road alone in case of emergency. I thought this was very sound advice.

What precautions do people take when going solo ... do they leave a route plan with a friend or family member ... do they have medical kit to take care of most situations ... etc ??

What is the house view on solo trips then ??
