Soul Adventure is a 4-month journey (1 month of training – 3 months on the road) that will combine your passion for adventure motorcycling
with your desire to serve in missions throughout Africa. During this exciting pioneering trip, we will blaze a trail together, and will reach villages off the beaten paths that are seldom visited by outsiders.
This is one of the most exciting journeys ever within Global Challenge! It will have the same characteristics of our Explore Africa journey – focusing on discipleship and serving in orphanages, helping churches, and coming alongside long-term missionaries. We’ll just have the added Adventure of traveling this rugged African continent on motorcycles.
One of the fundamental values of Global Challenge is living a simple lifestyle, and what this will mean for us, is hardcore traveling… You may find yourself covered in DUST one minute and SOAKING WET the next. Maybe you’ll be THIRSTY and HUNGRY and STRANDED without fuel. You may have a FLAT tire, BLOWN fuses, BUSTED shocks and long, long border crossings. You may cry because of the rough elements one moment and cry in awe of God’s creation the next. So, if travelling on motorcycles throughout all kinds of weather and rugged terrain, sleeping in tents, cooking your own food, sitting around campfires and experiencing Jesus together sounds like something you would enjoy and…..if your heart is burning to give to the people of Africa, to proclaim THE Good News..… THEN Soul Adventure is a journey for you!

VISION:
Proverbs 4:23 says: “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life”.
The vision is twofold:
1. We want to see you get your heart back and surrender it to the Lord completely - allowing Him to show you His heart for you, make you fully alive again, and remind you of who you were made to be. We will be a band of Brothers that will do life together on this journey and let our guards down with one another. No pretending. No holding back!
2. We will be the GOSPEL to people we rub shoulders with. Surrendering our plans to God completely, and giving of ourselves wherever we go. SERVING without reservation and without complaining. We will love God with all our hearts and allow him to direct our paths. We will walk in OBEDIENCE.
ROUTE:
We will travel from Jeffreys bay to Coffee Bay and on to Nsoko, Swaziland. From there, we will head to Polokwane and on to Botswana. Then, we’ll cross into Zambia and be on our way to Tanzania. From there we’ll go to Kenya. From Kenya we’ll head back to Tanzania, and then onto Malawi and through Mozambique. From here we’ll travel all the way back to RSA through Swaziland. You will spend roughly 15000km’s on the back of your pony!
