Suspension set up

Hi All.

I have a little issue with my GS800 2012
It seems that my rear shock is very soft and the rebound is extremely slow. Best way to explain it it feels like a Pogo stick.

Ive set the damper screw a little harder as Im on the tar at the moment, and softer once i hit the dirt stuff.
Basically I need somebody to explain suspension set up.

Any positive feedback will be appreciated.
