please can we sleep over at the track like we used to on the teenager days way way back???
why dont we gather at groenies fav spot on the track on both days and relive the days of the past...

On Saturday, 31st January (cars & bike demo) and Sunday, 1st February (bikes only) Zwartkops hosts its 8th International Historic day with some of the greatest racing cars and bikes of the sixties. The eighth Castrol South African Tourist Trophy / David Piper International will feature:
The great Legend Production Cars of the sixties with ex-champion Sarel van der Merwe in the big 7-litre Ford Galaxie, matched against current champion Hennie Groenewald in a NASCAR 500 HP 1958 Plymouth, Mark du Toit 1959 NASCAR winning Chev and the Ford Mustangs of Brian Cook and Rowlings.
The Goodyear ISP 1971 Ferrari 312B Sports Racer which won the 1971 and 1972 SA 9-Hours matched against four Porsche 917â??s, Lola T70â??s plus local and international Chevrons.
The Castrol Tourist Trophy with Ford Daytona Coupes, Lotus 23â??s, period Ford GT 40â??s, Ferrari 250 GT, Ferrari P2 and Ferrari P4â??s.
The Execuline World Final for the greatest single seater formula outside of F1 â?? the Formula Juniors of the early sixties which were in essentially scaled down F1â??s of the day. There will be at least 30 of these cars in the race in South Africaâ??s first â??Super Prixâ?. Entries are coming from Australia, Europe, UK and USA for what will be a totally unique event for South Africans.
The Castrol heroes of the Isle of Man Motorcycles will feature at least 20 international entries. The world famous MV Augusta, Norton, Hondaâ??s â?¦..
South African Historic & Classic Saloon cars â?? legends in their own right being raced by contemporary racing drivers.
Special tribute to the Legendary David Piper
With plenty of family entertainment, open plan pits for the public, good viewing and some of the most unique, outrageous and beautiful machines racing Zwartkops cannot be missed. The Legends of the Great Age of Motor Racing of the 1960â??s and early 70â??s is for everybody.
It is different and better then anything else you are likely to experience in the world of motoring.
