Hi guys,
I need some advice on chain sizes. when i removed my chain a while back for cleaning I noticed that the person who fitted it previuosly damaged the one link with a grinder. So I ordered a new one with a new front sprocket (R788 + R105). When I wanted to fit it I noticed that the new (DID 520) chain is narrower, it does not fit over the back sprocket. Obviously I complained and was told that I should replace the back sprocket as well. The reason for this is that a new wider (DID 525) chain costs R1200!! and a new back sprocket is only R180.

So my question is, will the narrower chain and sprockets do the job or should I fit the wider ones?
Thanks!
