one day in the near future i'll be in the market again for a proper DS bike.
which would YOU buy and why, a new Tenere 660, or a second hand 800GS for the same price.
which will be cheaper to maintain?
i like the look of the Tenere more, and i prefer the large fuel tank in the Tenere. I dont like buying a second hand bike either so am inclined towards a new Tenere in that regard too, but having owned a KTM640 i am rather concerned that the single-cylinder of the Tenere will make long stretches of road torture in terms of vicious vibrations as soon as you go over 100, and running out of steam at 140km/h.
also, i'm single right now so i wont have a pillion, but want the option of taking willing partners with in future. is the Tenere good on the open road with two-up?
