So when my wife asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday I told her a short bike trip would be nice, she said sounds like a good idea so I was all set to go. Work has been quite busy of late so it was good to get away. As it was just an overnighter I decided to try the Ermelo - Amersfoort loop which I had to abort in April due to mud all over the place. This time there was sure to be no mud but plenty cold so I dressed accordingly. Friday morning 7am I hit the road, it was good to get away from the 8-5 !
Outside Bethal I took my first pic, indeed a lot drier than before.
The road winds through the much drier veld this time around. I was getting close to Blesbokheuwel. From there a left then a right and onto a stretch that would lead me to Uitzicht then onto Ermelo. Perfect weather for riding and almost zero dust being solo.
