Hello Chappies,
I have volunteered to 'guide' a friend who is visiting from Swizerland. Shes an older rider, but not afraid of gravel. Problem is I have never been to the places that we are going! Here is my plan - can you Vaalies provide feedback?

The rules are this:
-about 300km in a day
- need to spend a day on the coast to swim
- blending of camping and B&B/hostels/hotels
- 8 days

Here was my idea
1. Leave Joberg, spent first night in Golden Gate Park.
2. Through Rugged Glen, Bergville, Champagne Castle, Nottingham Road, sleep near Himeville
3. Next day through Ixopo - Highlflats - St Faith - Port Shep.
4. Day in Port Shep
5. Next day to Oribi Gorge - Kokstad - Swartberg - Kingscote - Coleford Reserve - sleep near Himeville
6. Next day up Sani Pass to Kotse Dam (if they allow her into Lesotho on a borrowed bike)
7. Next day Katse Dam to Fiksburg - sleep in Fouriesburg
8. Drive back to Jo'burg

I have been reading the previous reports on the Lesotho parts, and if there are nice campgrounds or roads that are really lekker in these parts, I would love to hear from you.

Cheerio,
Rene
