I have had many flavours of garmin and I have the following to say:
Backup service:
-in the WC - beyond excellent
-routes/mapping - excellent
Userfriendlyness:
Unit:
- 7 out of 10
Mapsource:
- 7 out of 10
Getting Mapsource and unit licenced and working on your PC
OMG!!! 1 out of 10
Tom Tom:
I cannot say, and as I am looking into this, can people that have a Tom Tom, and use it with their computer, please comment?
For instance, how is backup?
Also, the mapsource equivalent, how is it?
Also, if new maps are released, do you also have to fork out a lot?
