Top up oil

I have a GSA running on Castrol Activa oil. In the event I cannot get Activa can I top up oil with Castrol GTX ??? I noticed that when servicing at BMW in George they use GTX and when servicing at BMW in Boksburg they use Activa !!!!!! I need to put in about 500ml aftr 10k km.
