Wild Dog members from Pretoria (Zugger, Bushboy, Husamarine and myself) will be travelling anticlockwise around Lesotho during this years long Easter weekend. Total distance approximately 2380km with 1122 gravel roads.

Planned overnight camping stays:
Ficksburg (Meulspruit Dam), Barkly East (Caravan Park), Rhodes (Walkabout Inn or Backpackers), Underberg or Himeville (Camping sites) and Harrismith (Pres Brand Caravan Park)

Planned passes / neks :
Noupoortnek, Joubert's Pass, Greylings Pass, Killian's Pass, Indwepoort, Cala Pass, Barkly Pass, Lundean's Nek, Volunteers Nek, Naude's Nek, Pot River Pass, Moordenaarsnek and Sani Pass.

After consulting many forums on the tyre issue which from my point of view seemed rather inconclusive, we have decided to use treads as follows based on the unpredictable weather pattern which can be expected around Lesotho:
Zugger - 1150 Adventure - Karoo 2
Bushboy - 1200 Adventure - Mitas E10
Husamarine / Salmon - 950 Adventure - Scorpion
Bomber 11- 1200 Adventure - Mitas E10

As all weigh about 100kg's and therefore bikes weighing in at approx 400kg's fully loaded, I'm sure we will be able to provide additional information on the tyre issue.

Cheers, will report after the trip.
