Hi all.

My xl700v has a strange issue.

For a while now it would struggle to start intermittently. It only happens when it was up to operating temp, never whilst still cold.
Sometimes I would crack the throttle and then it would fire up, sometimes I would rock the bike back and forth in gear and the it would start.

When I get the bike started it would run as if there is no issue at all. It runs perfectly, pulls strong, no other issue except that it struggled to start.
I also never use the kill switch and as it only seem to happen when the bike is hot I assumed it won't be the kill switch.

Today I started the bike, did about 5 km, switched it off and from there on it just would not start.
I actually feel a bit relieved as now I can look for the problem as it was just to random to try and pinpoint.
The petrol pump does come on when I switch the bike on.

My problem now is how do I go about it?
Probably check for spark first and that will lead the way.

Any suggestions?
