Yesterday I received an SMS from Wesbank saying my vehicle finance account was billed for fees that they shouldn't have, and that I should phone them to arrange a refund.
I don't know the technicalities of it, but long story short I'm expecting just over R11,000 back from them in the coming week. This was from finance on a R72k bike
I see there's a MyBB thread about it dating back to November last year, and 702 covered it briefly. If you financed a private purchase through Wesbank between 2010 and now, it might be worth giving them a call.
