West coast of Africa for a start

Hi Guys ,

I am currently on my second RTW and my last big trip to Afcica was over 15 years ago so I will be spending some time on this site and I may bug some of you for more details , I plan to head toward Africa starting by the west coast first and then go East Coast, I will be riding a light DS bike maybe an XR650L or a DRZ400 as my current bike is a DL650 and cannot fit what I plan to ride now ( off road) . I am almost done with South America and just did  India and SE Asia.

Any help, comment or suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I am French and now live in the  US ( for visa info)
