Spent a few pleasant hours servicing my SM610.
Just after I got the bike about 2000km ago, I did what I normally do and serviced it replacing the normal paper oil filter, the oil, cleaning/oiling the air filter and oiling the chain.
Did the same this time, but now knowing the bike a lot better as a result of my project SM, I also removed the cartridge filter located just below the gear lever.
The paper oil filter was clean, the oil was clean and there was hardly any fine shavings on the magnetic plug.
The cartridge filter had a bit more metal particles, but when I felt inside the cavity I found these particles lying there and I fished them out.
Anyone have an idea know where they came from?
