What to check/ do when servicing

Hi all. I do most of my bike's maintenance myself, but would like to know what to look out for when servicing my 06 Adv. Regular things like filters, oil and plugs are no issue, but what about gearbox and diff oils and something about play on the drive shaft that needs adjusting every once in a while?? Also, do I need to check the throttle bodies/ butterflies, cause I'm sure they're a bit noisy at times?
