I have to service my 1200 GSA at BMW every 10 000kms, no problem. BUT i want to change the oil every 5 000kms. SoI figure I will do a change in between evry official service. The question is, if I don't use a BMW filter, i suspect they will have an issue, if I just change the oil, and leave the filter, am I serving any purpose ? I object to paying the price they want for a BMW filter.
