I am pretty excited about my upcoming trip in October. This site has been great for finding information on possible tours and rental businesses in South Africa. I bought my second motorcycle this past April - a 2004 BMW F650GS and have been loving it! (My last bike was too much work for me - a 1980 Yamaha Maxim XJ.) A couple of off road courses really helped with my skills and confidence, and I have put about 10000 km on the BMW since April. There are lots of great roads near me to explore and I avoid the major highways.
I am thinking about renting a motorcycle in Cape Town and touring around for a couple of weeks before I head north into Mozambique where I will be staying with friends in November. I am looking for riding partners as I am not super enthused about travelling alone as a female by bike. Anyone else in the same boat in October?
