my XR 650L has about 75000 klicks on it and is using oil.
As I'm going to change 2nd and 5th gear I will fix the oil issue as well.
Which piston will you guys recommend. Though I,ll like a bit more power it must not be at the cost of reliability.
Do you get after market gasket sets, valve stem seals, timing chain/ sliders etc? Is Honda the only option?
Now to carb issues:
Just after I bought the bike I fitted a Keihin FCR41 pumper carb and a FMFQ4 slip on silencer.
About 5000 kilos later a piece of the slide broke of and went through the engine. Replaced the slide. Almost the price of the carb! That slide also broke a piece of. I put the standard carb back.
Now what caused that?
I will appreciate advice from you all.
