Hey guys I'm looking for some diagnostics...
My xt500 back wheel locked up while riding about 100kmph. Luckily on tar and without pillion ;D. I pulled the clutch in and motor was dead (while tire screeching and disappearing). As i let it out again the motor came loose and run started again. Decided to rather check things out so no more riding ???
There were some additional new noises (in all gears) coming from the motor when under strain (opening throttle on up hill) for about 100km before this happened. Oil may have been slightly low but not much, oil temp 100 degrees.
My guess is:
1 rear wheel bearings?, or
2 Main drive shaft bearings?
Any ideas?
