Yamaha XT550 -SOLD

That time has arrived...........

I'm putting the one XT550 - 1982 model up for sale (the bike we rebuilt from scratch)............. however - the bike is in storage in Cape Town at the moment until I get back to the Cape on 25th January.....  so unfortunately it's behind another XT as well as my GSA - so not accessible at this time..........

Offers on R16 500.00 as advertised on Gumtree........  (with a bit of discount for WD's  )

What have I done to it..................

- Cam chain replaced
- Replaced Tacho Drive gear (was missing)
- Wiring harnass totally re-done
- New Indicators
- New 12v Horn
- 12V Accessory socket installed
- New Taillight unit
- Frame totally stripped and Powder coated
- New clutch & brake levers and rubbers
- New Clutch plate assembly
- Fork gaitors
- New Chain guide and Chain guard
- Tank totally re-lined (R900)
- New mirrors
- New Handgrips & handguards
- New fuel pipes and filter
- New wide footpegs
- Sidestand foot widened
- New (only had 1000km - care of Grrrrr) XR650 Silencer system modified and installed (sounds wicked with baffle removed)
- New front Engine crashbars installed
- New - full set of Pannier rails/luggage brackets installed with Goosetoob cutom bracket integrated
- New numberplate holder and license holder


What the bike needs..........  been standing for nearly 10 months ........ so a once-over would be good......... although oil is still new.  I have a full set of fork seals that I will included with the bike - I'd suggest that they are replaced.
The tyres have a bit of life left - but suggest a new set.
